Not having a very warm spring here in Ohio, but I do have some of the cool weather veggies out, and I am looking forward to planting more this week. I am trying out some old favorites this year, collards, blackeye peas, and rhubarb.

Good afternoon from the coast of mid-Norway. :stew2: Welcome to the best Stew on the net, hop in and make yourself at home.

We've had a very warm April here, and now it looks like the rest of May will be mild too. I hope your weather will warm up for you. :D

This year we're very adventurous and will try to grow pumpkins. :D We've got too wet and cold summers for those, but my youngest desperately wanted to try, so we're trying.

We're also growing peas and carrots, but we do that every year.

I'm mostly into flower gardening and we're busy trying to make the garden look like a garden instead of a work-in-progress all over the place. :D

I haven't had much luck growing pumpkins in the past either, but my son wants to try the white pumpkins, so we'll see. I have a lot of the cool weather veggies growing- lettuce, onions, carrots, ect. Planted a few of my tomato plants, some cucumbers and peppers so far. What flowers are you growing? My other passion is perennial gardening.

White pumpkin? Sounds exciting! Do keep us updated on those. :D

If you pop over to the "My Garden"-feature, you'll find lots of photos of our plants. Also I've got a load of Hosta photos in my blog. My husband's crazy about hostas.

Hello everyone. Glad to meet so many gardeners out there. I wanted to get out and finish my garden today, but it's nasty, cool, and wet so far. Maybe later.

Hi gardenmom from your northern neighbor. I'm still trying to get last years plants out of the garden or I'd have broccoli, lettuce, beets and peas planted. This rotten weather has turned the area around my raised beds into a lake.

So nice to have you with us.

    John

    Hostas

I don't know why, but everyone can grow hostas but me. I love the hundreds of varieties, but they do not grow for me. They come up every year, but never get very big. What am I doing wrong? :(
