Thanks for all of the welcoming wishes and comments

It was so nice to find such great welcome wishes this morning....I will answer some questions....I live in CT and have extensive gardens.....this is a battle because of the weather, the deer, the shade and the rocks! We live in an area where the glaciers left huge piles of rock so you can't stick a shovel in the ground without finding several!

In addition to gardening myself; I love visiting other gardens. There are several in our area that open at times for tours and we also have the NY Botanical Garden about 45 minutes away. Recently we visited the gardens at the Roosevelt Estate at Kykuit in NY.

I also dabble in photography...My favorite plants in the garden are the hydrangeas, the astilbes, the hostas and cone flowers....based on climate and the amount of shade we have these things do really well. I will need to figure out the photo part of this site and will post some pics and I look forward to viewing pics from others.
