I retired and moved to IL from central CA last year. Oh the green - WOW!!! So different from the desert. My 3 acres gave me a clean palet so I have been creating both flower and vegetable gardens around my wee home. I'm in love with perennials and daylilies. Already this summer I've collected over 75 different daylilies from various farms and shops. I'll not say how many perennials I've already put in as well as laying down hardscaping for many of the gardens. In my spare time, I raise and train miniature horses, so I am a busy ol' lady. I look forward to learning about gardening in the midwest.
