Hi, New here today, hubby has his RV forums, I've been looking for some with my interest which is anything to do with our home or gardens.I do all my own decorating always have, many projects with hubbies help. While I am a great cook, we are now retired so not so much cooking or entertaining anymore. I go to another forum, but as with many it's not very active or up to date, hope this one is? I also love my "puter" and shopping online!
Hi SusieQ, welcome to the Stew from north Texas. Where in Florida are you? I lived in West Palm Beach for 5 years but that was almost 30 years ago so much has changed there. Glad you decided to join us. We are very active, I am thinking we probably average 150 posts per day but Frank could come up with a more accurate number. We do discuss gardening but it has been a long winter for a good number of our members so we have been discussing just about everything under the sun to get us thru until spring. Good thing you love your 'puter' cause this forum is habit forming, you will find yourself spending a lot of time here.
We live in SW FL. about 2 hrs. below Tampa, it is quite cool here, tomorrow possible freezing/frost 32* we will be covering some of our plants.
Hello Susie, and Welcome to a warm and friendly group. You'll find lots of folks here with interests like yours. We love to chat about our gardens and homes, and share ideas and pictures, too. I'm originally a Floridian (living in N.Carolina now) and can't wait to see your plants and gardens, it'll be almost like visiting home.
Hi Susie, welcome to our Stew from another Texan here.I think you will like our Stew we learn so much on so many topics and make soooo many friends.I hope you find it as much fun as I do
Hi Suzie and a warm welcome to the Stew from Sweden. Toni provided you with a pretty accurate idea of how active the forum is in her post. Lots of fantastic folk here to discuss, again as Toni so accurately pointed out, everything and anything to get us up to springtime. Then there will be gardening galore! Don't miss our blogs, member map and calendar 8)
Thanks for the welcomes, I should have said landscaping rather then gardening, hubby and I have always done our own landscaping when building a new home, this one is our last new home and we love it, our lady builder worked with us on design changes and it turned out perfect for us! I will add a pic. if I can of my one Orchid tree, the other one is sick and I have no idea why? both we planted after hurricane Charley to replace 2 huge Oaks that went down, we lost 3 of 4 that day one remains, I will add photo of it also, if I can? Well it appears this site is not as easy to post pics. need to figure this out? I do use photo bucket have for a few yrs. but still this site is different.. Hey, hey, hey, I believe I've got it! :-D
Susie there is a photo posting tutorial hereif you need it. We recommend using PhotoBucket, it's great.
Got the pics. posted finally...Netty spent many summer vacations in Ontario as a child, family very much into fishing...
Welcome and hello from Arizona. If you look in my blogs, you will find some by Susie the Goat. Her full name was Susie Q. an old song from the late 50's. Just a coincidence I guess. dr
to our forums Susie from West Lothian in Scotland. I hope you'll stay around and let us get to know you better. Your photographs are lovely btw - I especially like the second one. :-D Oh while I remember ... a little tip on posting photographs here at the Stew as everywhere tends to be different. If you pick the bottom option 'IMG code' under your piccies in photobucket, copy it and then paste it here, the image should show up not just a link. If you hit the edit button before copying and then resize all you pics to website/e.mail (320x240) then they're the ideal size for including in your posts.
