Hi there, littlehelper checking in from Sweden! Sweden - You got polar bears and the sun never rise/sets? YEPP thats right! But not for the spring. The spring is lovely in Sweden and I can feel how the spring feelings are running through my veins. So I joined this forum since I am interested to get to know more about international gardening trends as well as improving my English in terms of gardening. Really lacking behind on the words... The current garden status is now apart from my balcony is my cottage outside of town. I am very eager to start cropping as soon as the temperature goes above zero, in a bout a week or two. See you'll!
WELCOME to GardenStew littlehelper. We have members from all over the world who love to learn about other countries and their gardening techniques. We hope you'll also be able to teach us about gardening in Sweden and what plants you have there.
Hi LittleHelper and a hearty welcome to GardenStew Having lived in Sweden (Malmö) for four years previously I can vouch for your statement that Sweden's springs are wonderful! And that when the first slightly warm day comes everyone is out in their short sleeves We're really looking forward to the spring here so glad you have joined us. (I'm part of the Welcome Circle!)
Hi Littlehelper Welcome to GardenStew from southern Ontario! We've had a long, cold winter and I am ready for it to be over!
Hello LittleHelper from Nebraska in central USA. Welcome to Garden Stew. I am intrigued with Sweden, as my mother's family comes from there. She has visited, and I think may have tracked down a place where her people were from. Look forward to getting to know you, and hear about your gardening. Yes! We here are too anxiously awaiting the arrival of spring. Although last night we had a bit of snow.
Hi littlehelper, welcome to GardenStew from north central Texas. We have such a international mix of gardening members that is always fun to learn what they grow and realize that we all pretty much grow the same things. We would love to see photos of your balcony garden and the cottage garden. One thing you will notice is that many of the members use the botanical name for their plants while others use the common name. If you see a plant name that is unfamiliar, click on Plants at the top under our GardenStew banner, enter that name into the search block, most of the plants will be in our database with photos and lots of good information about them. It's a good way to learn the basics of plant lives.
Hi LittleHelper, Welcome from a distant hot and humid land!!! Sunny weather almost year round if there is no rain and we can plant year round too!!!
Hi and welcome from New Brunswick, Canada. We have more than our share of snow and cold this year. Come on summer!
