We are at the Georgia Veterans Memorial State Park at Cordele, Georgia. It is the Melon Capital of the U.S. Of course the melons they have now are brought in from Florida as theirs are barely up now. But in July and Aug. you will see semi trucks full of them coming into the Farmers Market. So far we have only had 3 dry days since we got here. Still have another week here before we head home. Done a little fishing but no luck so far. It's been windy and it's keeping the water riled up pretty good. It's been cold the last 3 mornings, in the 40's, had to wear a flannel shirt and jacket. See yall in about a week when we get home!

Glad you are having a good time...we have 80's today here and then back down to normal.I hope the fish start biting for you...our winds are very strong here too...up to 45 mph at times...Have a great time...Sherry

Saw the weather report for home this morning. 80's and 90's with bright sunshine! We will be heading for home on next Wed. and will be home late on Thurs. It will probably take me 3 days to get caught up with the yard work.
