We had our first killing frost this past weekend, and today the snow has arrived. :'( :'( :'(
It's been snowing for several hours now, and it's beginning to stick in the grassy areas of my yard. Our fall colors are at their peak, and it's beautiful all around despite the snow. I do enjoy the white stuff, just not this early as I still have plenty of chores to do before winter sets in. Hope it's warmer by all of you!

We had a killing frost last night, but no snow here yet. I'm still waiting for an Indian Summer...

Oh gosh, I'm glad it isn't that cold here. I remember when I lived in Chicago, it would always snow on Halloween when the neighborhood kids were trick-or-treating -- with their winter coats open to show their costumes. Brrr.

Don't worry about the snow staying too long. We had 2 - 3 inches today in Minneapolis and it is all melted now. But managed a few good pics while it lasted.

Well we've had a couple of frosts here in Scotland. Ian had to scrape ice off the car windscreen this morning but, thankfully, no snow yet.

It's STILL snowing here, been coming down for about 8 hours now. The fire's going strong in the fireplace and I've got my quilt on the sofa with a book on the coffee table and a cup of tea. Winter's not all that bad (I've just got to get used to it again)...

Karen...glad to hear it didn't last in MN (and glad that Brett is doing great for the Vikings this year...can't believe I'm staying that, but I'll always love 'em!).

    Kasey,
Yeah, it started snowing overnight and didn't stop until this early this afternoon but most of it is gone now. It is way too early for this kind of stuff.

I can't believe that I am cheering for Brett either. I was one of the few here who hoped he would stay retired. He seems happy and the Vikes are winning so that is good.

My youngest son lives in Oshkosh. I went and looked on Weather.com and sure enough he's having snow and rain mixed with snow. His weather forecast looks pretty miserable for the rest of the week. I think maybe our rain looks better now. I'm tired of the rain. I think it's raining so much because of all the complaints about the lack of rain all summer. Watch out what you wish for or you will get more than you want. dooley

We haven't got snow where I am but it's creeping down the mountain sides and is getting ever closer. We've had quite strong frosts and lots of hail but thankfully no snow yet. It's way too early for both frost and snow I think.

    Noooooooo..not snow...puleeese!

I hate snow, I can't go out in snow for fear of falling. Thats not so daft as it sounds. Last year (not in snow) I fell down a step I forgot was there , it was dark when we left. I fell on both my knees. One is severley swollen now with arthritis.

One year my mother fell in snow in 1962 and she died from kidney cancer six months later.

There is no way I would even venture in the aweful stuff.

But, I do love seeing images of your snow, especially Canada and America.

    :D

You could see snow falling here but when it hit the ground it was rain...way too early. I don't even have my flower beds ready for winter.

Our rural roads here were ice-covered this morning, until the sun came out and all melted away. All of our beautiful red, orange, and yellow leaves were frosted with white. The reports said that this was the earliest snowfall in over 100 years. We had a cool summer and now an early onset of winter...so much for global warming in Wisconsin!
