I've tried to edit and resize, but we've actually had a couple of weeks of lovely weather, so I've only been indoors to eat, sleep and make a mess. Today is a grey day, so I thought I'd make a blog entry about our holiday. If you want to read it, it's here: Droopy's Blog We visited a glacier arm three hours' drive from where we live. As you can see, it's shrunk a lot since 1920: We also had a peek at the White Shroud Priests. I liked them a lot: In Copenhagen we had a look at the Danish Queen's treasury: And we spent a couple of days at a camping site with Western theme: We saw a bit of wildlife too: The blog entry is graphic heavy, despite the fact that I restrained myself. I hope you'll have a look at it.
Oh what fun. You get to travel through such beautiful scenery. I wouldn't mind doing some camping at the Praerien (Prairie) campground.
I've just commented on your blog entry Droopy but ran out of space to type any more. What a wonderful holiday and yes ... I am turning green with envy. I was disappointed when I got to the end of your photographs as I was really enjoying seeing them all. My eldest son would have been thrilled to see the White Shroud Priests - it's amazing that they stood there for so long isn't it? You have whetted my appetite to go on holiday now. However, we have the roofers in replacing our cottage roof so I doubt we'll have the cash for a while yet - that's why I loved sharing yours so much. Many thanks.
Good morning! I'm so glad you liked the photos. Toni, we thought the camp site was very well made, but what really made it special were the guests. Most of them wore cowboy hats, boots and assorted Western equipment, and the campers were decorated with flags, skulls and other Western details. There were plays, dance lessons and shows too, perfect for children. Eileen, I know how it is. House repairs are so costly one has to prioritize. Not fun but necessary. More photos are coming up. KK, just let me know when and I'll pick you up at the airport.
Hi Droopy, i paid a visit to your Blog,..all great and interesting locations,..and of course the witty comments,..very enjoyable viewing.
Thanks for the nice words, Philip. I'll bore you with more photos either this evening or tomorrow, depending on the weather.
Thanks for the nice comments. We've had rather nice weather, well, on-and-off, for the past few days, but the forecast threatens us with lots of rain tomorrow. I've got the next batch of photos ready, and will post as soon as I can. It's nearly midnight here now, and I need my beauty sleep. (No, I'm not going in to hibernation.)
