Well, right before the rains came...the restaurant was open for business and the bees came to dine by the bus-loads. Lovely photos! We've got dandelions blooming and we're leaving them for the bumble bees for now. We've got very few blooms out there yet.
SJ those are some wonderful pic's. Love the bee's. Droopy-I know exactly what you mean by not having much blooming. Only my spring bulbs are in blossom. Here is a pic of a bee taking refuge in one of my daffodils. The temps where dropping in the mid 40 degrees. I think it was to cold too fly. Poor little bee.
We haven't seen too many bees around yet. I think the pea sized hail showers we're having on a regular basis is keeping them from flying.
Wow you too are having hail. That for sure would keep those Bees and birds grounded. Central US. and Texas got hit with softball size hail last week. That would kill you if you were hit by that size hail. One mother and infant where in her car when the storm hit. Broke almost every window in her vehicle, but they we not injured. Thank God. Many people had serious damage to their homes and property. I feel sorry for all the wildlife that was probably killed in that hail storm. With all the rain they have been getting there has been a lot of floodiing. Unreal. This week in the Midwest, and Texas area it's golfball size hail and Tornados. I am so thankful that we seldom get really bad weather.
Good to hear, DROO--The bees desperately need food sources this early in the season. The Dandylions do look attractive, don't they. Thanks EJ-- I had 54 kilo's last year. You are absolutely right, EILEEN--we have the same problem this side of the channel.
