Came home about dusk. Had 7 deer in front lawn and driveway. One Stomped his foot at pickup. One year had to wrap all the trunks of fruit trees-was eating bark. And I sprayed critter control on flower all fall until snow covered them.

Oh deer, oh dear, the deer seem to consider everything that is edible their own. We had several spend the day lounging in the woods behind our house last winter, the evergreens received a close 'haircut'. It took the summer for them to recover. In some cases however, their pruning has encouraged the bushes to branch out to a fuller bush. A trade off I guess. The deer don't seem to eat the flowers, the rabbits take care of those.

K-Kid; it's looking like it might be one of those winters so we probably should lay in the supplies for defending our plants & domestic animals from the depredations of hungry wildlife.. Good wishes to you for success in these efforts.. Hank

The deer seem to be numerous around here this year too. I'm always watching while driving because those buggers will just jump out in front of the car.

We got one tangled in our chicken yard fence on the first day of bow season...the fence won, but it didn't look so good afterwards.

A couple weeks ago my sister had one jump out in front of her and she was waiting on another one, as she drove through the 2nd one came out behind her car and the person behind her hit it. She felt bad for them, but was glad it wasn't her.

I had one run right into the side of my van one dark wet night a few years ago....What a mess. I was cleaning up glass fragments for quite some time after that. I never saw the deer, either. I was very thankful it didn't end up inside of the van. We had Kevin's parents with us that night. The impact was right behind them in the last row.
