We hit 105 deg this afternoon. We are down almost 6 inches of rain and I have been watering the maters every day, just to get them to grow. The last time it got to 100 here was in 1999, so that isn't a normal summer temp for us. When it has gotten that hot it normally is in Aug.

Same here in Ontario. It has been warmer than the norm all year, with less rainfall. I don't remember ever having to water this much so early in the season.

Hotter than Hades here, too. All we get is a little thunder & a few drops & it goes on around. We've never, ever had to use the hose so much.I keep saying"It has to rain soon". But does it? Last week it got very chilly at night.I'd wear a sweatshirt on early AM walks. Then,it would get hot.I was thinking that this is the way it is in the desert.Chilly at night ,hot in the day. And of course,no rainfall to speak of.
Of course,it has been stifling all night the past few days. No AC in our bedrooms.
