Several people commented on the view from my living room in the Black Friday post. So I thought I would post one from the opposite direction. This was taken from about 1/2 way out my driveway. I had been up blowing the last of the leaves out of the cut and had taken my camera with me. It's a beautuful day here in the high 50's. Especially since we had some snow at the first of the week.

Sure looks like a peaceful spot, Capt. I'm imagining walking along that path hearing only the birds and the crunch of the gravel.

I have several brush piles for the animals. Usually you can see some rabbits or squirrels or chipmunks out, but there wasn't any today.

I'll come with you, Eileen, if I'm allowed. Lovely, peaceful setting. I do envy you your little wood there, Capt. :D

Where my house sets is where the original homestead was. My driveway is the original lane going back to it. The land was first recorded in the county recorders office in 1836.
