Just a question about what you see when you are out and about. The first picture is just some white flowers in the grass. The second is a close up of how those flowers really look like. I like the name too,Fringed Grass-of-Parnassus. It's not only how close do you look, but how much time do you take to look. When we led nature walks, we always took our people out into a meadow, woodlands, or stream side, and told them to close their eyes, then open them and look, while breathing deeply. This was the first time some folks had ever really seen what they were looking at. Your photos of the Fringed Grass-of-Parnassus is a perfect example of really seeing what you look at.
I'm one of those people who stops and looks at almost everything to do with nature as I find it endlessly fascinating. You'll never find me standing in front of a fashion or shoe shop though.
Those little white blooms are beauties! I am always amazed at the creations from Mother nature that grow wild.
So many great things are over looked. I used to go snow shoeing off the trails. Others went on cross country skis. They would come back puffing and panting and had never looked up from the trail. I saw wapiti (elk in North America) and coyotes and different birds. Who had the greater day?
You did, of course! I love that flower. I'm often found crawling about on all fours in forests, gardens, meadows, on beaches and any other sites where something of interest might hide. People hate going for walks with me. I never get there, you see. I prefer following an ants' path to running up and down the hills.
Great example of what can be seen if you really look. I'm like alot of you here...if I see a spec of color, I go check it out.
