got a total of 9 plants and i made the rookie mistake of not marking them up or writing down when i planted them (diary added to christmas list). they all look the same at the moment and wondered if theres any tell tale signs there ready for my curry??? :-D
They can be eaten at any stage in their growth. What is the variety? Some are hotter as they get bigger.
can you really?? didn't know that. not sure which ones are which but i have jalapeno, hot tepin, frigatello, and a couple of others but i forget the name. whats the best way of removing them from the plant??
I like to wait until my peppers are colored. I dislike the flavor of green ones. but there are many who love green peppers and are willing to eat them. I clip my peppers off with a pair of garden clippers or carefully use a knife, if they are big. If they are small it's easy just to break them right off the plant.
They come off easily with a gentle pull !! I like mine about half grown. Heat is about right then for me !! I like my cayenne peppers with a sandwich and homegrown tomatoes !! As they get older and if the weather is fairly dry,,they will set the woods on fire. LOL
