Thursday still no lights. They can not get in back of neighbor's house. They moved away almost 5 years ago. Moved to Kansas. Just put house on market 1 year ago. Never cleaned yard. I got his number and chewed. But light Co--going to put transformer on our land by pass them. Will him---to have aspen come and clear JUNGLE. No offers on house-wants more then it's worth. Their DS is to mow lawn---one time this year. All you hear is generator and chain saws.

I hung muddy jeans over boat washed them with hose..Only one who likes this water in front lawn. Yellow lab. Get hosed off then in kennel to dry. Looked at tree Big tarp we bought wrapped around. At first thought it was one of those porta potties

When the UK flooded in the South at the finish we (not my area) had to send for the Dutch. They went to the area with a lorry load of huge pipes, the pipes were set up to withdraw sea water from the houses and some pipes emptied the water back into the sea.

The Image is of the pipes on their way. The sea was actually in houses for weeks till the Dutch rescued them.

On TV an MP went out to see the area, he said 'what help do you need', what a plonker. The residents were knee deep in water, what the heck did he think they needed help with?

    Dutch Pumps to the rescue.

Wow Kate, thanks for the photos & explanation. I guess the Dutch know how to deal with water by now. Those are both very interesting photos.

    BTW welcome to the Stew!
