I am growing to like this idea of starting a lot more seed in paper towels, coffee filters and other materials. They seem to germinate a lot faster and gives you an idea of how they are doing instead of having to wait for them to break the surface. My latest endeavor is parsley and it has started to germinate in less than a week where most information I find says 2-3 weeks. I want to gather some information for others, as well as myself, on how everyone does this method of starting seeds. If you can post as much detail on this as possible it will help a lot. Once we have gotten the information I will write an article taking all the informatin for use by others. Don't worry, I will give credit to everyone for everything they contribute. I can't take credit for most of it because all I have ever done in the past is apples and did some gourds this year. Not really the hardest plants to start.
This has been a 'hot' subject over the last years. Check out these previous topics... http://www.gardenstew.com/about13867.html http://www.gardenstew.com/about7428.html http://www.gardenstew.com/about9009.html And don't forget to ask permission to include the information before you do the article
Will do Toni and thank you. Maybe if everyone that posts will say yes or no as far as reposting their contributions it will help.
Here is a link I found that really explains it so someone like myself can understand it. http://www.robsplants.com/seed/baggy.php
