The first few pictures were taken on May 31st 2016.

The remainder were taken between the 9th of August and 28th of August,..there were eight Cygnets to start with,..quite a big family,..alas three went missing around the 9th of August having survived from the very early stages it was sad to find they almost matured when something happened to them.

It's good to know that so many cygnets survived. Young swans face so many hazards that sometimes the whole family can be wiped out. Thanks for the lovely photographs Philip.

Thanks folks,..i was talking to one of the people who live nearest to the spot i took the pictures and i was told that the NSPCA took away one of the Cygnets as there was something wrong with it,..i must find out about this and perhaps what happened to the other two,..Cruisers and small boats pass through this area,..most will slow down where there are Swans and other wildlife,..i have the feeling its something to do with what people are feeding the Swans.
