https://hummviewer.com/ not sure I could sit that still for very long. I do have a see thru plastic feeder that attaches to a window with suction cups. Just fill with bird seed. Many birds are attracted and at the same time it’s a good close up view to take pics. It’s recharged by he sun each day as a solar light shines at night displays dancing lights in the window . Pretty cool.
Very cool indeed. This way humans can get a bird’s eye view of hummers. They are magical. I wish we had them here.
oh absolutely .. Birds are so smart and intelligent in so many ways. Have just a few feeders out for birds that over winter in our trees. Melody I have not had the pleasure to have a hummer get that close .. so amazing they land on your DH hand.
We have two sugar water feeders outside the kitchen window and my mancave window. The hummers are at them all of the time.
Same here . Here are a few that over winter here. They never let me forget to refill the feeders. Several have names ‘ Mr Dude and Mrs Dudess.
We don't have hummingbirds either, but I'm glad people share theirs online. We've got a flock of sparrows, another flock of blackbirds, several types of tits, and the resident magpies of course, that we feed through winter. We fed them through last summer too since it was cold, rainy, and not a lot of insects around.
We have two hummingbird feeders that I fill with homemade syrup and plants that hummers like. The hummingbirds eat and eat. I wonder they don't burp!
Another great hummer pic, Jane. You are so lucky to have them. You too, Mel. Imagine one alighting on your hand. That’s dramatic.
Do you have hummers now Daniel? We wait in anticipation....sugar water ready, four feeders cleaned and on stand by inside the mudroom. We also have a phone tree with neighbours, so that the first hummer spotted has everyone putting their feeders out.
