I started my onion seeds in the little six packs I beg from co-workers. They are put in potting soil and placed outside. I am finding that a lot of perennials are easily started this way. I even collected some seeds this fall and directly sewed them into pots and left them outside. Many of the perennials need some cool weather to germinate properly. Best method yet for keeping me from loosing/weeding-up starts. Especially onion/chive starts :stew2:

My friend has a green house an it is heated .. She does it in january......
Take up less indoor room for me if I am able to find the proper item.

Thanks , sounds like your doing good.

Yeh, the temps here are moderate. :-D

Did you do a Internet search for the trays? I found this site that carried nursey supplies and they sold the trays by the case. http://www.seedman.com/sstray.htm They or some other nursey supply house might have what you are looking for. Good luck and happy gardening
