I decided to start my parsley in a round tray instead of putting it in seperate starter pods. I now have plenty of seedlings and need to be ready to transplant them. I want to basically cut/dig "plugs" out of the flat to put the seedlings into their individual pots so I don't mess with their roots very much.

What is the best way to do this?

I often use a long-tined fork to lift individual plants out for transplanting. You can do this individually or remove a plug of several plants and let the plug fall onto the table (if the soil is not soaking wet) and the crash will make the soil plug loose so that you can tease the individual plantlets out.

I have also see a special tool for this with a round planting dibber on one end and a flattened small tip on the other for lifting individual seedlings out.
