Hi Mibus, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas. Not only is gardening in Texas very different from other state, gardening in one part of Texas is very different from gardening in another part of Texas.

Any pictures of your garden you would like to share we would like to see.

Welcome! I used to live in Wisconsin many years ago. It was very different from here in Texas. But, many more things will grow here. You will have to try a bit of everything. Lots of Texans here to help!

Well the easiest way to post pictures is to give you the url to my website where I have a picture journal
I haven't updated it lately but it shows how ti looked when we moved in and how it looks now.

    I browsed your website ...
What hard work you have put in. It looks like two different places. Your flowers are beautiful and the bamboo bench is a very clever way to use all your bamboo. It does look very sturdy.

You have a lovely family. Do any of the kids live in Texas? It is so nice to have you as an 'almost' neighbor. :stew2:

Thanks it has been hard work and it's still in progress Luckily hubby is retired and enjoys workin in the yard and he is learning to ask before cutting things LOL

The bench only lasted one year it was not made from lumber type bamboo so it cracked as it dried and wasn't safe to sit on

My oldest daughter and her hubby live in Humble and work for Baker Hughes
they got married labor day weekend here at home

Hubbies youngest son lives in Longview and the rest of the kids live back in Illinois near Urbana and Rockford

My son officially made me a grandma the Monday before thanksgiving
