image.jpg poor old mark. I beg him to come to the allotment for me to do an array of labouring jobs, one of which was bringing all the willow branches from our pollarded willow up to the plot to support my peas, sweetpeas and beans.

Good to see you have a 'lugger' to help you. Mark is probably like Randy.....telling people he isn't a gardener but considering what all we have them help us with in the garden I think they can give themselves the title of gardener too.

My boy helps when he's home. But does it begrudgingly. Its weird though. He doesn't like helping in the garden but has no problem working on the foodplot

Mark is like my husband--always willing to do a little extra, and so very helpful with the "two person" tasks.
He also swears he's not a gardener, but he plants zinnias for the bees, tills the gardens, spreads mulch, and even helps dig potatoes!
    Aren't some men wonderful:smt008!

I would have a very difficult time gardening without Mike. He is in charge of compost, mulch, tilling and (in the veggie garden only) weeding. He also helps me pick and clean any vegetable for canning. He doesn't do the flowers, at my suggestion, since he pulled all the new babies I had started from seed out one year. He enjoys looking at them and will help me any time I ask though.

That is a nice-looking lottie. Is it the new one?
Ava somehow doesn't look wildly cheerful. chuckle.

Such a good helper. Your garden plot looks very nice. All that work does pay off.
