I managed to photograph a hummingbird while sitting on the front deck this evening. This ruby-throated one has been hanging around for a while and I finally managed to capture a shot. Yes, that hummer is serious about that feeder. He hovers around in the air near the feeder daring any other to approach!
I have that exact same feeder, seems to work very well. And like you, I also do not add the red color to my sugar water, I think it is better for them.
