Hungry, hungry bird!

    The hummingbird feeder was almost empty. So I brought it in and washed it and made up some new food for in it. I went to hang it on the shepherds crook and a female hummer came up and started eating. I had to stand there and hold it until she left, then finish hanging it. Ahe was only about 12 inches away from me!

    Captain had that happen last year. Got to fill and wash 2 of my 5 feeders. I love watching them + all the other birds.

    Occasionally a bird will eat out of my hand but I have never had a hummer come that close. Except the one that flew up to my face, I think we were both surprised as we stared at each other. Sounds like you need two feeders Captain.
