is headed our way. We will be on the east side of the storm, which is the bad side. We are about 60 miles north of New Orleans. We will see hurricane force winds and possible flooding. My yard is full of trees, which is what I am scared of. We will go to the church before it gets bad, but my oldest daughter will not leave Basil and we can't bring him. H. Rita brought a huge oak down right alongside of my mobile home. I have put this in God's hands, knowing that we will be ok, no matter what the outcome.
Gustav Dear Cajunbelle; I live in a mobile home too and I understand your fears. We will be praying for you folks here in NC. See if you can get Basil to someone who lives in a house try to convince your daughter to go somewhere safe - mobile homes are good homes, but definitely not the place to be safe in this hurricane. Take good care. Gardengater
Sharon I hope your home will be left undamaged by Gustav and that it passes over you without any uprooting of your trees or flooding of you property. I'm listening to our news broadcasts of its progress and keeping everything crossed for you and everyone else in its path.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope everyone you love and care about ride this out without harm.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Sharon.I have had ya'll on my my mine all day.I know you will be safe.I hope your daughter changes her mine.Let us hear as soon as you can please.
Holding my breath for you. I sure hope that it won't hit actually , and that it will change it's direction. You take good care of yourself now. You're going to be ok.
Sharon, you and your family will be in my prayers. Here's hoping that 'Gus' slows down and goes in another direction.
I spoke to Richard (Ragaefan)a little while ago and they are at the church and so is Regina(oldest daughter)
Oh, good! I was wondering. I read a bit ago where people were being allowed to take pets to shelters but that was in New Orleans. It would be awful to have to leave them behind. I'm glad they are in a safer place to ride it out. dooley
This time all evacuees are being allowed to take their pets with them on the buses or into the shelters in other cities. The shelter up here has several cages for them and Reunion Arena in downtown Dallas has several cages for animals belonging to people who are staying in motels or with friends where they can't take their pets.
take the dog anyway. What are they going to do, turn you away. Its a church! Good luck to you, i hope you and yours all make it safe. My daughter is outside Mobile, I hope she listened and evacutated. There was a madatory evacuation there too. Lots of prayers going out to all that are in those areas.
We're thinking about you and hoping for the best for all of you. Please check in as soon as you're able to, and stay as safe as possible.
Was just watching this hurrican on the news. Sure hope everyone is safe. Thoughts abd prayers are with those in the mist.
