This was the tallest palm in the city. I know it well. It's two blocks from my house. Power was out for only twenty four hours.

Lost a few persimmon fruit. But it is an off year for heavy fruit production, so they won't be missed. Next year will be a bumper crop.

    Plus one more.

The palm had had its day, it's still a shame to see large trees fall victim to storms.
At least the power was not out long.

It doesn't look as though the palm came down and caused too much damage - apart from taking the power out. Thank goodness they got it back up and running so quickly.

I was wondering if you had any damage. Doesn't look like you got alot of rain (thank goodness).

Wow, glad no one was hurt. And a twenty four hour outage is very short considering. Farewell tallest palm.

I'm glad you didn't suffer more damage. It's so sad to see tall trees go, but what can one do? *sigh*

No damage at my place, or the Moss Bluff property. And I have nothing but mature trees. A few are nearing their meeting with oblivion. Fortunately, most of my trees are on the 'young' side of being ancient. Like me.

The young side of being ancient? :D Good one, I'll have to adopt that. :D Your garden is very nice. It looks so fresh with the different shades of green and variegations.

Your garden looks so lush and green,, and some very eye catching plants,..not forgetting the Rare Agave Cat.

Sad to see a tree of that caliber meeting its doom.
