I took the hyacinths and the inside plants out to show our neighbor this morning.
When I went out later there were two butterflies on them along with numerous bees. I took one picture and then scared them away. DR took a couple when one came back. You can see the butterfly up on top of one flower and down on one flower. I only posted one that dr took because they were about the same. Dooley

When I went out to bring the hyacinths there were also two hummingbirds trying to drink out of them. I think I need to plant hyacinths outside in the fall. Dooley

Hyacinths are a favorite around here. It's great to see your in bloom - mine are snowcovered. And I long to see a butterfly.

Seems strange to see butterflies in February. They must have appeared because your hyacinths did.

First butterfly shots of the year, and they couldn't have come sooner. Thanks Dooley.

You know you're right Bethie!! I looked up American butterflies and the American Snout looked the nearest to Dooley's ones.
