Last fall I planted hydrangeas in my garden. Here we are almost at the end of spring and I don't see one leaf on them yet. Is this normal? I'm watering them every day and fertilize them often (liquid fertilizer). I'm afraid the plants are dead. How could I know, or when should I expect to see leaves, not to mention blooms? I need an answer soon, I'm worried by now!
I'm in zone 5 and 2 of my Hydrangea's have just started to green up this week. I'd give them a little bit longer and if they still haven't grown, I'd probably dig down and see what's going on.
