Cold, then snow, then snow and cold. The cycle has yet to be broken. I need a serious weather intervention!

I'm seriously close to cabin fever!

Ayep! tired of the cold and snow and cold and snow and cold and snow....Bringing in more wood dumping the ashes, cracking the ice out of the chicken waterers...slipping and sliding up the hill and down getting to the chicken coop, plow the drive way shovel the extras away... cover the greenhouse door each night thaw and re water the rabbits waterers each day...go to bed and get up to the very sameness again...cold snow cold snow you get the picture.

Agreed! I am so tired of dressing in so many layer that I can hardly move, wasting fuel running the car, plugging in the car, shoveling out the driveway, garbage box and mail box, trudging thru the deep snow to empty the compost, dragging in firewood, carrying out ashes, and paying for heat! I would so much rather be cutting grass, dragging hoses, shoveling topsoil, planting flowers and cleaning the pool :)

I pull on a pair of long johns and wool socks every morning and have been doing so for the last 6 weeks...I,too, am tired of dressing in layers for everyday. No need to put on shoes as your feet will be frozen from the ankles on up if there is any exposed flesh. Clomp clomp clomp with the snow boots. The dog did have fun in it yesterday as I was unloading the grain for the chickens. It took me 1/2 an hour to get it all done and she ran and ran and ran through the snow. up the hill and down, over to the neighbors and back, into the van and out (I think she thought we would go somewhere if she was inside of it). BUT it is miserable to go out there and have to work in it. My DH and DS have only been plowing snow this past week or two, fixing equipment etc. The frost in the ground is now 24" deep. He went to fix a gas line for someone and the frost stopped 2" above the line. Tried to clean a ditch by the airport last week and he kept breaking off the tree stumps instead of digging them out. The channel is better than it was, but it is still really rough since the frost is so deep.

We all need a place we can meet and cry in our beer.
