    Anticipation, anticipation
    Is makin' me late
    Is keepin' me waitin'

I counted yesterday and there are about 48 buds waiting to open. These are my wonderful, childhood memory reminding, purple popsicle smelling favorites with one really dark purple one at the front and maybe a couple of two-colored ones in there somewhere.
I will never move these babies again, they seem to really like it there. Late fall 2008 I brought them all together from different spots in the yard and last spring I got maybe a dozen blooms scattered thru the month. But this time it looks like they will almost all bloom at the same time!!!

    Updates as they progress. :-D

I can't wait to see them in full bloom. They are a nice, deep and rich colour.

...BTW, your singing sounded pretty good.

Today's photo of the Iris. Couldn't get out there over the weekend because of the rain.

There are so many I can get a whiff of their aroma from about 10 feet away, especially with the breezes we have had today.

These Irises are absolutely the bloom in my garden that keeps me gardening. Even tho they only last about a month in mid-late spring it is the fragrance and the childhood memories they bring back that makes me love them so much.

Of course I count the buds ;) doesn't everyone? That is a thrill of it's own kowing that they like my garden so well that so many of them are blooming and there are to be so many blooms on each stem. :-D
