I got a new Kodak EasyShare camera for my birthday. I had to go to the library and download an instruction book because one didn't come with it. Then, I spent a part of every day being frustrated because I didn't know how to download the software and install it. I called their help line and the man gave me the wrong instructions so I spent more time being frustrated. Finally, today I called again. A different person answered it today. He looked up the reference number the last guy gave me and said it was the wrong information. He said I didn't have to download software. It comes on the camera. I only have to install it. So, I went to my computer. I plugged the camera into the USB port and turned it on and a little orange square popped up on the computer. I clicked install and presto the camera and software are now on my computer. Now, why can't they just say that in the instruction book? This camera has more bells and whistles on it than the old Canon so I will have to spent a few days or weeks figuring out everything. But, then I will be able to post pictures again. dr says it does everything but the dishes and he does those. LOL dooley
Dooley, glad you got the camera situation in hand. "Why don't they just say that in the instruction book?" Heaven knows. Maybe they get lonely in those call centers and want to talk to us!
Glad to hear the good news, Dooley. There must be lots of stuff there for you to practice with--all of it of interest to us here. Good luck further....I can't wait to see how it takes pictures for you.
