I have collected these from our favorite thrift store over the last couple of years and have had no luck growing regular plants in them...you know the kinds that like to be watered.
Inspiration thunked me on the forehead yesterday, they will be perfect for succulents...duh!

This bed area is right under the front window and originally was filled with dwarf Nandina when we bought the house. They started dying off a few years ago and that spot has been getting uglier and uglier.

I had found the Mondo grass on 50% off at Lowe's last week, bought several 6 packs to put our along the sideway and make this new bed. I wanted something to decorate the bed and the urns were perfect, now it's just a matter of waiting for succulents to show up at the garden center to get them planted.

Excellent usage, it's about time they began to urn a living.

Oh Jerry... you're just too funny! :-D

That's a great spot for Mondo grass... and you still don't have to mow!
Those urns are neat looking. Can't wait to see what succulents you choose for them.

I think you made a wise choice in planting the grass and the placing of the urns....I end up moving things all the time...even in the house. I guess that is because I am a Pices and can't make up my mind...if it doesn't work in one spot, I move it.
