This picture should have gone in with the Flagstaff pictures. It is an old train that sits by the Flagstaff train station. It has a load of logs behind it. DR had to take the picture in a hurry because he was taking it from across Route 66 and it was busy. The Santa Fe railway runs from California to Chicago and parallels much of the Old Route 66, which was replaced by the new interstate system of I-40&44. So ends our trip to Flagstaff. We were home by 4 pm because DR needed to load the truck for a trip to the flea market tomorrow. I have to go back to work. It was a quick trip but we got a late start because we had the truck serviced first and then had breakfast. Dooley
I would love to go up close and analyse its workings, it looks amazing. It's a real pity you didn't have time to get close ups. Thanks so much Dooley for taking us along on your trip to Flagstaff. It make a drab Saturday better
