hi, my name is danielle i really your help. i found wild tulips in a patch if woods behind my house. they are so beautiful that i want to replant them along my rock wall in my back yard. i have already planted a test plant to see if it would die. so if anyone has any tips please let me know as soon as possible.
Be careful Danielle as most wild flowers are protected and you can be prosecuted if you are found digging them up. Best to check the laws in your area about wildflowers before doing anything. However, if the are simply garden escapes then you should have no problems moving them to your own ground. Wait until they have stopped flowering before transplanting them and ensure the bulbs are deep enough in the ground so that frosts can't damage them and they should flower for you again next year.
When you have transferred the tulip plants to the new area, be sure to put some new topsoil around them.
