This is my family's home... my brothers agreed that I could plant some flowers in that "semi-circle" area inside the sidewalk! I think I'm going to try to make it "tropical".
Once they finish with fencing, drainage, and other projects... then I get to fence off a big section just for plants!
That way... I don't have to worry about my brother mowing 'em down! :D
Time to start shopping for plants! Yippee!!

Oh boy, oh boy! That's a good size space too.... Tropical? I wouldn't even know where to start -- this is going to be exciting.

Yes... it's going to be fun. And don't worry folks... there will be lots of pics!
The house faces East... so great morning/early afternoon sun.
Now the hard part... to get a plan! What to get and where to place them. Definitely will be a work in progress.
Some of the plants I already have in containers could definitely go there in a tropical theme.
Or.... I've also been considering putting in lots of Lilies... they were my Mom's favorite.
Oh heck... I could do both!
    :D

I see tall stately Canna of all colors there, especially the Canna Tropicana with it's dark leaves and bright red and orange blooms.
Lilies would work too, especially the Tiger Lilies.

For some reason I see a lot of orange and red in the space

Cannas are on "the list". I love they way they look... and they are so hardy and easy to care for. And you can bet there will be orange for sure (my fav color)!
