    nothing would it bear....

Until this year that is! Three Kentish Cobnuts. :)

Mum and dad bought Mark and I the Kentish Cob as a housewarming pressie when we first moved to Kent some eleven years a go. (We didn't stay for long and came back to Essex). Anyhow, the tree has been happily growing in the garden, but has never had any fruit, until this glorious year! I cannot tell you how happy I am, and how I am going to covet and protect those babies and scoff the lot when they are ripe in the autumn. :D :D :D

p.s....sorry about the quality, it was taken at dusk just as the batteries were running out on my camera.

Congratulations on your delicious-looking nuts! We want a hazel tree in our garden, but we're a bit pressed for space.

A big congratulation on that nut tree. You must be well chuffed with those.
I had to chuckle when I read your enthousiastic plans for those nuts. :)

Congrats on your nuts -- a treat that was a long time coming, huh? "Scoff the lot..." does that mean you're gonna eat 'em or plant 'em?

Congratulations on finally getting nuts to start. We had some kind of nuts are our last place and the squirrels always ate them...they looked like a hickory nut but not as tasty.
