First I got into an argument with my neighbor. Then Sears "lost" my order twice. My babysitter quit on Wednesday. My 5 year old got clotheslined by the dogs rope on Thursday and has a nasty rope burn on her neck.
I watered all my planters with water from my daughters wading pool not realizing that my husband added chlorine. My plants are all dying! :'(
I had a really bad week and I'm glad it's over!

So sorry to hear that you had a horrible week. At least it is over and can only get better. And there is a bright side...you can plant Fall Mums and start autumn displays now that the cholrine has killed the summer flowers. :stew1:

Oh man, Netty, I really hope that today is the beginning of a spectacular week for you to make up for last week.

Only two of our near neighbors speaks English so we can't communicate with them at all much less argue.
Hope your daughters rope burns aren't causing her any pain. She could have been much more seriously injured that way, soooooooo glad she wasn't.

Fingers crossed your daughter recovers quickly Netty and that your neighbour and yourself can sort out your differences. What a pity your plants have suffered so badly. I just hope there weren't any that held a special place in your heart.

Ouch, I'm so sorry for you. Nobody deserves bad days, let alone bad weeks. :( Speedy recovery to your daughter, I hope your neighbour will behave from now on and please plant some pretty autumn flowers to replace the once you accidentally disinfected. Maybe your new babysitter will be better than the old one too, you never know.

There are weeks like that but they are few and far between. I hope you don't have any more for years. I hope your daughter will not be hurting too long. I also hope she isn't put off dogs by her experience. Plant some plants, tall ones, between you and your neighbor and ignore them. Good wishes to you. dooley

    Oh fooey, Netty!
I'm sorry to hear about that string of misfortune. If there is such a thing as karma, then you are due some good turns, I'd say.
Here's hoping that the bad luck is well behind you now.

    Thanks everyone, that helps!
My daughter spent a lot of time in the pool in the last 2 days and that really seems to have helped the healing of her rope burn.(phew!) My neighbor and I are getting along again - we seem to have reached an understanding. I have a sitter for Tuesday and Wednesday she will go to school so I have bought some time there.
My poor plants on the other hand don't look good. Thank goodness I didn't water ALL the planters with that foul water-I still have some that are OK. But the Datura's that I planted back in March were just about to bloom and my Salvia's (except the Black and Blue - phew!) that I planted from seed have all shriveled up. Gone is my Black Eyed Susan Vine and Hyacinth Vine, 2 Canna's, a Dahlia and my beautiful Fushia's. :(
Oh yes, and my Sears order finally arrived - my sons back to school shoes!
