This is only the second time that they've been included in our fortnightly veg-box and I have no idea what to do with them so I would be very grateful for any ideas
Sorry, I don't have any recipes for them, I have never eaten them either, but maybe call the organization who produces your box and ask if they have any suggestions or if they could include a few recipe suggestions for some of the different or unusual selections in future shipments, just so they don't go to waste for most of the people who receive them. just a thought.

I don't have any recipes to share. Sorry. However, do you have any idea which kind they are? Are the they like the egg shaped Hachiya or the non-astringent tomato shaped Fuyu? Those are the most common varieties grown by me. If they are they tomato shaped Fuyu, my family just eats them fresh like an apple, often cut in slices. They are one of my kids favorite fruits to eat fresh. The other kind are astringent, like the Hachiya, and are usually left to soften up (until mushy) like a pudding and scooped out to eat with a spoon or typically used in baking recipes like apple sauce would be. My neighbor down the street uses them in muffins and quick breads.
Thanks for that.They look more like the Fuyu,although I suppose the ultimate way to tell would be to taste them - hoping for the sweetness but expecting the sour. Karin
If they are Fuyu or similar non astringent types, as long as they are orange, they should be sweet. Like bananas and pears, they get riper as they sit.
I Googled it and found some recipes but they didn't seem to appetizing to me. You should go find them.They may sound good to you.
