Why do you need to spray it? are you trying to keep the humidity up or is there a problem?
If you need the humidity a humidifier is the best way to make the air more humid.

My mother-in-law used to have one of these plants. She misted it with tepid water now and again and it did no harm. However, remember NOT to mist the plant when it's in flower though.
Once the flower dies the plant will never re-bloom. The mother produces a replacement, new plant and so the cycle repeats itself.
