I have a very rare plant, probably never seen before.

    I call it the ostrich plant.
    It hides it head (plant) in the dirt.
    here it is hiding in the dirt on the right.

    Now here it is hiding on the left.

    Now that I have your attention: its really my zucchini plants. I don't know what happened-maybe the seeds were upside down and it grew roots up.
    I transplanted them (the right way) and their doing just fine.

    Now I'm the proud mother of not only these 2 but 12 zucchini's. :stew1: Happy planting.

    :D They do look like ostriches when trying to get their baby leaves up, don't they. Those photos are so sweet. Clever girl!

    lol,, i really believed that was an ostirch plant,,,I kept thinking well weres the fun in that, nothing to look at. ohh geeez. (see what happens when you live on an island) Those zuchini plants look great. You will be eating alot of squash,,lol. hope you got some good pickling recipes! lol. Congrats on the new babies.
