It was hot and humid today so I helped make it just a little more hot. I baked this afternoon. I went to cook some elbow macaroni so I could make macaroni salad for supper. While it cooked I peeled the peaches and made two individual peach pies (5 in. pie tins) and a peach cobbler for dr. Then, while they cooked I mashed up the soft bananas and made three smallish loaves of banana bread. I think the pans are 2 1/2 x 6 inches. I put some small pork ribs in at the same time as the banana bread. I did cover the ribs so grease didn't spatter the bread. Then, I made the macaroni salad and when the bread was done I uncovered the ribs and added barbecue sauce. Then, I cut up a cantaloupe. When the ribs were done I shut off the oven and we had barbecue ribs, macaroni salad and cantaloupe for supper with peach cobbler for dessert.
Of course, the a/c was working overtime so it didn't get too hot in here. Maybe it raised our electric bill by a few cents.
It was a great supper though.

You are truly a great homemaker Dooley. I will look for any excuse to not heat an already hot kitchen even more. For instance, last night we ordered out Chinese food, don't think I'll get away with that 2 nights in a row though. It's salad weather!

I don't always get so much done but those peaches and bananas were rapidly approaching time to discard so while I had to wait for macaroni to cook I just did the rest. A/C helps a lot when the kitchen is small. A fan directed at the work table helps, too.
Today, we may not eat more than pie and banana bread.

Not only did the kitchen heat up but a lot of appetites heated up to. A lot of cooking and everything sounds delicious.

Dooley even that sounds like a feast to me. I know my hubby would be thrilled if I served that for a meal. He loves both and so do I. :stew1:
