..... just look at what happened to my friends candles in her conservatory this morning!!! We Scots just aren't used to heat like this.
Awwwwwwww....what a shame. We've got the same here. They are promising cooler weather in the weekend, but until then we're going to bake. I have to give water in the lotties every day now.
We had three days of cool (98 degs) weather and now it's over 100 again. My candles are still standing straight but they are not in direct sun. Enjoy the summer heat. Winter is coming! dooley
We have been watching some of the tennis matches, over there in London, and the heat has been one of the topics of conversation. Your candles are further evidence of the unusual heat. Soon some one will be selling "T Shirts" that say I survived the heat in the summer of 2009. This too shall pass. Tom
The temperatures are even higher down south in England so I'm actually glad we're much further north. I feel sorry for the tennis players at Wimbledon having to play in temperatures as high as the low 30's!!
I can confirm that Eileen.....we are sweltering here in Herts. Hope it starts to cool down soon as I think I will expire
