I may be a bit testy . . . .

At the grocery today an elderly woman (not me!) was walking around with her mask on, but her nose exposed. The manager saw her and asked very politely for her to raise her mask. She just stared at him. He tried it in Spanish and got a blank stare. He then told her to raise her mask or he would have to escort her from the store. She gave him a very dirty look and raised the mask. As he walked by me I congratulated him on handling that well, and then the devil got my tongue and I said, "With that nose you'd think she'd want to cover it!"
I may be getting just a tad testy with stupidity . . . .

Have you seen the cartoon of a man wearing his mask just cupping his chin, with the comment, "So that's why birth control doesn't work!"

 

Best retort, the birth control one.
I am not a fan of masks, except "The Lone Ranger".
I wear mine hanging around my neck and give everyone WIDE
avoidance. I have never been asked to put the dratted thing on my face.
However, if a merchant asked me to, I would leave his store as I do understand that it is his business and he is within his rights to tell me.

we are all testy, but if I am not sick I am not going to pass something along that doesn't exist. wear your mask if it makes you feel better but honestly not everyone can wear one. I was sick for 6 months this past year. wearing a mask is like suffocating somedays. not everyday but there are bad days. you just feel horrid like your lungs are on fire or you are having an anxiety attack. I just stay as far away from you all as I can. as a matter of fact I am not even helping the economy if truth be told. I just don't go shopping at this point in my life for anything other than baking supplies for my markets. I haven't been to a store other than the drug store or the local small grocery store all year.

 

Carolyn, I could almost have posted what you said. I had trouble breathing while trying to wear a mask too. The stores are just a place I frequent if the shelves begin to look empty. Like you, I steer clear of people when it is necessary to enter stores.
