I was setting in the living room and had the verticle blinds pulled aside to watch the birds at the feeder. All of a sudden a red tailed hawk landed on the corner of the porch rail. My camera was in the other room and by the time I got it, he was long gone. Would have been a great pic as he was no more than 8 ft. from me! Will probably never happen again!
Never say never, please keep your camera with you at all times! (OK, you can leave it behind when you shower.)
Capt I think you might try it you may even like it. I do hope he comes again but if he doesn't you may want to try that bath for sure
I had a couple of goldfinches visiting our feeders today. I stood watching them for a few minutes before realising I should get a piccie of them to show to you all. Needless to say, just like your hawk, by the time I had the camera in my hands they had flown off.
I was watching the birds a couple days ago and all of a sudden every bird flew in all directions and a hawk flew through...he was so fast and I think he got a little one because he did not stop and watch them...he kept going ......I couldn't of gotten a picture of that even if I had it pointed at the area...things were just too fast.. I try to keep my camera in the center room of the house so if I have a chance to snap a picture I can...doesn't always work though...I hate it when the rechargeable batteries are dead..
