Hello everybody, how have you been? We came through the front door about three hours ago, and I'm feeling a bit fringy at the moment. The trip home was a long one. I can see that you have been busy, 3.103 new post and 82 new blog entries, my oh my! We've had a lovely holiday, with lots of sun, sea and sight-seeing, but did we get time to do what we thought we'd do? Not by a long shot! We missed the big earthquake in Rhodes, that was the day before we arrived. We were there during the forest fire, but that was way south of us and we didn't notice it at all. I'm happy to say we had an uneventful three weeks there. I've got 300+ digital photos and about 100 paper ones, and I've been thinking a lot about you all while photographing. I won't have time to post much for a few more days. The garden is full of weed, the veggie patch is full of peas and carrots, and the poor, old plum tree has got four broken branches due to way too many plums. I won't even think about the suitcases until Sunday. Hello to all new Stewbies, belated birthdays and anniversaries to all that have had one, and I'm glad to see you all. I think I need a vacation to recuperate from the one I've just had.
Welcome back! So glad that you were not affected by the fires and the quake. Hit that garden and remove the weeds. I remember getting back from England last summer after 2 weeks and my whole garden was take over ...and never recovered. Can't wait to see some of your pictures and hear about your adventure.
HAPPY HOME COMING DROOPY .I'm so glad to see you home safe and sound. We have been worried about you and the fires and the earthquake. Its so good they were not near you and you enjoyed yourselves. Will be waiting for your photos.I hope all your veggies and plums are ok. Again We Missed You ,glad your home.
Hiya Droopy. Very happy to see you home safe and sound. You will notice when you read the posts that we were all concerned about your whereabouts when we heard about the fires.
WELCOME back Droopy. We were worried about your vacation-the fire on Rhodes and such. So thankful everything is o.k. Glad to hear you had a good vacation. Sure did miss you while you were gone. Now its time to tend to the garden. But can't wait to see those picts. Welcome back.
Thanks for missing me and worrying about us! We were in the middle of Rhodes town and all we ever saw were helicopters and big planes flying in to help extinguish the fire.
A bit, I must admit. There was a line every time we passed the internet café and I never took the time to wait for a machine.
Welcome back!! ***Hugs*** Need a vacation huh, well just in time to come up here for the Viking festival,,,lol. You can ride in the horse wagon,,that way you don't have to walk to the harbor,,lol. Relaxing enough. I'm so glad you didn't experience any of the natural disasters that happened there. We sure were worried. I kept checking the news, didn't hear nothing and was very, very relieved. Glad your back.
Gosh it's seemed ages since you were last here Droopy. We were all biting our fingersnails up to our elbows hoping that you were safe and sound. Biita was checking the news for us to make sure that no Norwegians were mentioned in the disasters of the earthquake and forest fire. As they say no news is good news but we still fretted anyway. I'm so glad you had an unevenful holiday and enjoyed your time in Rhodes to the full. Why is it though that holidays pass too quickly and you feel you could have done with at least another two weeks to do everything you set out to do? It's really great to have you back home with us again but take your time about posting to get everything in order now you're back. As long as you are all fine then we're happy to give you a few more days off!!
Whew!... Sure glad that you're back home safe and sound. It really does seem as though you were gone longer than you actually were. I'll bet that all of you are totally worn-out. When you are all rested up we need top hear about those veggies and flowwere...the stray cat, the hedgehogs and of course your horses and cats. Ok then miss Traveller, get some rest and enjoy checking your plants. p.s. Real sorry to hear about the plum tree limbs.
Eileen, I feel like we haven't been gone for very long, but it's only two days away from a four-week vacation. Sjoerd, my being so tired today is my own fault. We stopped over at my father's childhood home yesterday evening and met up with a couple of my cousins. Us three girls sat up until 3.30 chatting and polishing off two bottles of wine.
Cor blimey, Droopy! You guys really did make a night of it. heh heh heh, Oh to have been a fly on the wall.
