Back in 2010 I started taking a Landscaping class through Penn Foster, an online school. I got all the way through my courses, doing well, but when it came time for the final exam, I kept putting it off and putting it off and...you get the idea. Anyway, a few months ago, I contacted my instructor and asked if I could still finish. He gave me an extension and today was the deadline. It took me long enough to complete the final because it was rather overwhelming. 5 sections to it, including a soil test (had to go through an actual lab!), mock client contracts and landscape design and maintenance. Oy. So I finally got it done and mailed off a week ago. Actually, I mailed it off once and it was returned ungraded because somehow Id missed the 5th section, so the instructor emailed me the PDF so I could print it out and fill it in (that was the part that took me the longest!) Got a large envelope in the mail today, opened it, and in the Grade box on the cover form was a 100%! YAY! So now I just have to wait a few weeks to receive my diploma (or certificate or whatever the heck I get lol) I passed! ( photo / image / picture from TheBip's Garden )
See, being a member of the Stew really pays off! I bet you would have had only 99% if you weren't a Stewie. Congratulations--not an easy test, and you aced it!
Haha thanks everyone! Ive got an application to a nursery waiting to be turned in (not turning in til January cause thats when they start looking for people and the guy said he didnt want to risk losing it before then ) so this just might help sway their decision towards me
Woohoo!!! Congrats Jen. Having that course complete will most definitely give you a good chance at the new job. Put a copy of the certificate with the job application too.
