Your plants are off to a good start, a good use for the tree stump.

Can't wait to see your place when everything is in bloom.
Your porch and home looks so.... what's the word... invitingly-friendly. (okay... so I cheated and used 2 words) :stew2:

Most of all I love your house!
No offence, but I love it's small.
Over here...there's a trend. We can't afford it (to build or to up-keep it) but our house must be bigger and taller than any on our block!
    It's silly!
So many houses are for sale cause owners can't finish them (it's all bricks and shingles...nothing else).
And since land is expensive, they but a small lot, build that HUGE house and there's not much space left for ... green!

I always say I WANT A SMALL HOUSE with a HUGE GARDEN.

I also love your hens and chicks. More hens over there! Have you eaten most eggs?

    :)

Yes, the house is small and we love it that way! Lot easier for me to keep clean. I had a large house back several years ago and had a hard time keeping up with it. I said never again! It's only my husband and I so small is good. I'd rather be outside anytime than indoors!

Ditto here! :p Just the 2 of us so small is a good thing. Sold the big house about 10 years ago because I spent all my days off cleaning :-? This yard is MUCH
bigger which is just fine for me but hubby whines about all the mowing :D I love the busy lizzies in the stump!!! I plan to put geraniums in my stump this summer (If I ever get a summer) I love your hostas!

Great use of the tree stump,..and planting the Hens and Chicks,..you will have a great display before you know it.

I am another small house dweller,..being on my own i certainly didn't want a large house and i was given the present house for free,..so no objections i can tell you.
