A few days ago I fed the african violets in my office some Schulz liquid food. When I was done I had a little bit left and poured it on this pot of geranium starts ~ bad idea!

See how it looks like the blossom buds are brown & crunchy??? I think it must have burnt them

I've done something similar in the past so you're not alone. I pinched out all the affected buds and the plants went on to produce many more healthy ones. I hope the same happens with your geraniums. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you - and them.

You should probably flush water through the pot and soil to dilute what is around the roots.

We've all done it at some time or another--over fertilized and damaged a plant. That is why I use steer manure, to keep me from destroying greenery!
Barb's suggestion of flushing the soil is a good one.
Your geraniums will recover and bloom for you, I'm sure.

OH!!! You are now officially a member of the exclusive OOPS! club.
I think it will be fine, though. Geraniums are heavy feeders. I am surprised that the violet fertilizer burned it. I would have done the same thing.

I had a watering can with mixed fertilizer in it this spring and watered a beautiful purple petunia AND a nice big tomato plant and the fertilizer must have settle out and due to improper mixing and I burned the basket and tomato really well. The basket is finally starting to grow again. The tomato came back quicker, so maybe it didn't get as much as the petunia.

I have done things like that. Wish i had more room for inside plants. And a cat that doesn't like to play with them.Going to water some freshly planted flowers outdoor. Will mix food well -before.

Been there done that! I do hope your Geraniums forgive your little ooops-moment and give you some beautiful blooms.
