Everywhere I look there are signs that spring is already on its way in my garden. I have snowdrops, crocus, daffs and euphorbia showing signs of new life to come.
Omagod! You are such a show-off innit. Doesn't that look good! Congrats. It's really an unbelieveable time of year for that...in our zone, that anyway. I'm really happy for you--don't let them freeze now (fingers crossed)
Just couldn't resist a little brag Sjoerd!!! It's been soooo frosty lately that I really didn't think there be signs of spring quite yet. I'm so chuffed.
Wow, that is so cool. Is it supposed to do that now. I mean are they supposed to come up, this time of year. And its that warm in Scotland. Wow!!
It's not warm at all Biita. In fact it's been, and is, one of the coldest winters we've had. Isn't nature wonderful though!!!! Usually my bulbs start to appear around the end of January/beginning of February.
I wonder if mine are coming up ? Yours are really looking great. Its snow here in Montana covering most of everything so I'm sure Heathers are not showing.
Some of my bulbs are also showing. The iris "Kathrine Hodgkin" is peeping up, as are snowdrops and crocus. I know they won't start for another two-three months, but they are there.
Wow, i learned something new. I don't have many bulbs, just the ones that have been planted an established way before i even got here. Now that theres some light i'm going to have to see if i got some growing,,lol. I do know that each year around April the crocus, an ect come up but we don't see them until almost May.
That's about 0 deg C, which is what we've been having for a very long time now. And lower. But still the spring bulbs are getting ready. Go outside and look bsewnsew! Good luck.
I did look.. It is now 27º and blowing badly......and snowing. The beds are in snow now..I was outside.. b
