I left my tomatoes outside the garage last night and the coons didn't bother them. I am leaving them out again tonight. I have 2 maters that are starting to ripen and are orange and 2 more that are just begining to turn yellow. It won't be long now!
Good luck with those 'maters. What kind are they? My Early Girl has a few and a couple of the Heirlooms are fruiting. Gardengater
I have a Bush Early Girl that is ripening and a Bush Goliath that is ripening. I also have a standard that has green ones on it.
I'm not so sure I'd trust those Raccoons Capt! I sure hope that they leave them alone and you get to eat them.
Good luck, Capt. I really hope those raccoons have given up, I'll keep my fingers crossed for your tomatoes.
I just hope the racoons aren't waiting for them to ripen too CK!!! My tomatoes are just the size of marbles at the moment so I've a while to go yet.
Good luck Capt! hopefully those mean ole raccoons have found another place to terrorize, hopefully not a neighbor tho!
Good luck with your tomatoes. Hopefully the coons have found someones trash more desirable then your lovely tomatoes!
Capt.I think those racoon's are so tricky and I think they will check things out real soon.Be veryyyyy careful.
